For wood-to-wood connections designed to pull together
The partial thread starting immediately below the shank allows for wood-to-wood connections designed to pull together. The thread is positioned entirely in the lower component.
For applications in usage class 1 and usage class 2 (from ∅ > 4 mm)
- Provides high-quality surface protection zinc blue passivated chrome(VI)-free, up to ∅ 4 mm A2K 5 µm, from ∅ 4.5 mm A3K 8 µm layer thickness
- Suitable for use in usage class 1 (interior) and from ∅ > 4 mm in usage class 2 (wet areas or covered outdoor areas) according to EN 1995-1-1:2010-12 + DIN SPEC 1052-100:2013-08
- For screws from ∅ 4.5 mm with zinc layer thickness 8 µm with Cr(III) passivation, the requirement of classification T2 / C2 is fulfilled in accordance with prEN 14592:2017 (D)
- To pull the individual components tighter together and for increased head pull-through resistance, we recommend combining the precisely fitting washers for ASSY 4.
- For optimum use of the screw, use the exact fitting RW bit.
- Partial-thread screws are ideal for connecting wood-to-wood structures. In order to achieve the best possible component assembly, the thickness of the component to be mounted must not be greater than the length of the shank
- If countersunk head screws are used for a metal-to-wood mounting, the metal to be connected must be drilled with suitable countersunk holes
- For a load-bearing wood-to-metal connection, ASSY screws must be tightened with a tightening torque. Tightening torque = required prevailing torque x 1.2 < 90 % of the breaking torque
