This information is intended to provide the best practice advice possible, based on our knowledge and experience. However, we are unable to provide a comprehensive list of all potential outcomes, due to the numerous applications of the product and storage and application conditions that are beyond our control. Suitable for areas particularly susceptible to permeabilities and humidity, such as:
- Containers
- Water tanks, pools, etc.
- Indoor waterproofing in cellars and garages
- Waterproof surface for laying tiles and glazed tiles
- Underground construction areas such as foundations and support walls
Preparation of the base: The application base should be clean and sound, free from debris, oils and other contaminants, and should have good surface strength. Areas with defects and irregularities should be repaired beforehand. Water leaks should be stemmed beforehand if present. The base should be dampened 24 hours before the HIDROBLOCK application.
Mixture: Slowly add the solid component (A) into approximately 3/4 of the liquid component (B), blending it with a low-speed electric mixer until a uniform, lump-free mixture is achieved. Finish blending the mixture with the rest of the component (B).
Application: Apply a light base coat, with a consumption of approximately 1.0 kg/m², using a brush, roller or trowel. Apply as many subsequent coats as required (at least two) until the expected thickness or consumption is reached. Always wait for the previous coat to dry. Once applied, the HIDROBLOCK must be protected from drying too quickly, especially when applied during hot weather or strong winds. Newly applied coats should be protected from rain until they have fully hardened.
Cleaning your tools: Tools can be washed with water while the product is still fresh. Once hardened, it can only be removed mechanically.
