Quick-hardening glue for cold bonding of solid wood and wood compounds (particle board, MDF, veneers, plywood) and laminated plastics in the production of furniture and in interior decoration
  • Density 1.08 gr/cm3, the product does not contain mineral fillers

  • A filled product can have a density of 1.30 g/cm3

  • The glue is spread in volume, and then the filled product upon equal working consumes around 25% more

  • In canister, the filled product occupies 70-75% of the volume, without fillers 90 – 95%

  • The colour of the glue line tends to be grey in or yellowish in filled products

  • Filled products tend to leave a grey glue line

  • The adhesive power of the universal D2 product is greater than 30 – 40% versus filled products

  • Cold wood glue, rapid bond, and very high strength

  • Once hardened, the glue becomes semi-transparent without any alterations of colour

  • Rapid drying, including drips

  • Tough-elastic glue line

  • Good temperature resistance
Notice

Protect from frost

Do not apply below 6/10°C

Gluing at temperatures below 15°C may cause defect

Storage at temperatures below 5°C and above 35°C can damage the product

In summer, increases in temperature significantly reduces the open time

The technical advice, though based on our best experience, must, in any case, merely indicative and must be confirmed by exhaustive practical tests. This does not eliminate the purchaser's responsibility to personally test our products to see whether they are suitable for the planned use

Instructions

Mix well before each application. Apply glue evenly with glue roller, brush, dispenser, serrated steel or plastic trowel or pneumatic spreader. Avoid contact with ferrous materials, which may cause bluish stains in contact with the tannin of the wood. The curing time and bonding speed are influenced by temperature, humidity, porosity of the material and the amount of product used. The best results are obtained in the following conditions: temperature of the product, surface and environment 18-20°C; humidity of wood: 8-12%. Residues of fresh product can be removed with water, hardened glue with nitro thinner, acetone or painting cleaner

Open time:

  • 6 – 10 minutes.

  • This is the maximum time that may elapse between spreading and pressing at a temperature of 20°C, both ambient and wood temperature, spreading at 150 g/m2, air humidity 50% and wood humidity 10%

  • In the summer, with increased temperatures, the open time is significantly reduced

This is reduced if:

  • it is spread less than 150 g/m2

  • the temperature is above 20°C

  • the air humidity is lower than 50%

  • the wood humidity is below 10%

  • if the gluing takes place in environments with particularly hot air currents

Increases if:

  • if spreading more than 150 g/m2

  • the temperature is lower than 20°C

  • the air humidity is higher than 50%

  • the wood humidity is above 10%

Setting time:

  • Medium-fast 10 to 15 minutes. This is the time that the item must remain pressed at a temperature of 20°C both for the environment and for the wood, coating of 150 g/m2, air humidity 50% and moisture content of the wood 10%

  • for further processing it is preferable to wait at least 24 hours

This is reduced if:

  • if spreading less than 150 g/m2

  • the temperature is higher than 20°C

  • the air humidity is lower than 50%

  • the wood humidity is below 10%

Increases if:

  • if spreading more than 150 g/m2

  • the temperature is less than 20°C

  • the air humidity is more than 50%

  • the moisture content of the wood is more than 10%

Viscosity:

  • not to be confused with the density; this is the difficulty of the product to flow

  • 25000 ± 3000 mPas, medium – high

  • It can be reduced with the addition of water up to 2 – 3%
